titlepiece
The Guardian’s Positive Action Work Placement Scheme has now opened, and is for people from ethnic minority backgrounds, and people with disabilities.
The scheme reinforces what we at Shine Media believe in, which is that there should be a better representation of our diverse society within journalism and media.

Each summer, The Guardian offers up to 12 two-week placements for students or graduates from ethnic minority backgrounds.

Successful applicants will learn about different aspects of the profession, gaining an insight into the workings of the newspaper, website and their multimedia department.

For more information about the scheme click here, be sure to read through all the information as there are two schemes in place for people from ethnic minority backgrounds and people with disabilities.

Deadline for applications is 22nd March 2013.

Good Luck!
